Phoenix Rises, et al
These are the other photos of the mountainscapes with cloud shadows that were taken on May 28, 2012 while driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway. One of the photos accompanied the poem , “Phoenix Rises,” posted on my writer’s blog. That one is inferior (overexposed), but best illustrated the defined cloud shadows that prompted the poem. These, however, show the scene along with other mountainscapes from that day, more beautifully and are closer to what I saw with my own eyes. (Some are in Black & White.) Enjoy!
You captured so well the lanscape, shadows, and light of that day’s scenery. I was there and my point and shoot 12 mpx camera got some pretty good shots, but not so well defined as these. So beautifully done.

It was a beautiful ride that day – even if you didn’t stop every time I wanted you to! 😆
Beautiful shots, PTC.
Thank you Nancy! I have missed you! But then again, perhaps you have been missing me? I’ll be over to visit you SOON! 😆
“Breathless beauty
Mountains so blue
God’s music fills the valley’s below
Singing of His love so true and pure”
These pictures are so inspiring the words just flew right out of my heart! Blessings – Patty
Thank you so very much for sharing that with me! It is amazing how these photos inspire poetry, isn’t it! I had poetic thoughts as soon as I saw these scenes with my own eyes. God’s love for all of Creation was so evident all around that day. I appreciate your comments and visits!
