Flowers were among the first things I photographed.  I return to them again and again, and never cease to be fascinated at the way they are self-illuminated.  Something in them glows out of them, rather than external light simply shining on them.  I have yet to do justice to their beauty, but I am consoled in the knowledge that no one ever really has.  Clicking on an image will give you a larger view.
